This is our most requested recipe by guest as well as
friends and anyone who has the pleasure of sampling this
desert!
May be served while
still a little warm or left to cool and then sliced. Kind
of Rich so maybe go easy on slice sizes!
One Unbaked Pie Shell
for a 9" deep dish pie.
Oven Preheated to: 350
degrees
1/2 cup of softened
butter:
2 cups of sugar
3 rounded tablespoons
flour
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup buttermilk,
preferably original, not fat reduced!
1 teaspoon vanilla
Ground Nutmeg
Add sugar to butter and
cream togeather with a mixer. Add flour and eggs, beat
well. Stir in buttermilk, vanilla and a little shake of
nutmeg.
Pour into Pie Shell.
Sprinkle top of pie with nutmeg.
Bake until center is
done, or a knife inserted halfway between center and outer
edge is clean when removed.
Approximately 45 to 50
minutes.
