Stunning Natural Location
Nestled in the Canadian Rockies

Only 25 minutes from
Banff National Park in a spectacular wilderness setting away
from the crowds. Aurum Lodge is ideally located for nature enthusiasts
and visitors seeking a base to explore the Canadian Rockies between Lake
Louise and the Columbia Icefields.
We offer modern, comfortable rooms
(and some housekeeping units) in a secluded setting away from the major
tourist centers. Our lodge overlooks Abraham Lake, forests and mountains
of the front ranges. There are many natural attractions and low-impact
nature based activities in the area.
Accommodation options?
We offer two distinctly separate products:
- The Lodge with six different guestrooms – all with private baths – and a
choice of B&B or half board arrangement.
- Three self-contained units for guests who look after themselves and like
to prepare their own meals. These have fully equipped kitchen, private bath w.
shower, woodstoves, patio and are fully winterized.
Activities in the area:
Most of our guests stay here to enjoy nature and engage in low-impact
activities which are available year round and include hiking, biking, riding,
canoeing, climbing, ice-climbing, snow-shoeing, dog-sledding etc. While some
visitors may prefer to relax and unwind at the lodge, others use us as a base
for day trips to explore Bighorn Country and the nearby National Parks.
Attractions in the region:
Our location in the front ranges allows you to explore the many natural
attractions such as waterfalls, lakes, rivers, forests and mountains. Flowers
and wildlife are abundant both inside and outside of the parks and five of the
six eco-systems found in Alberta can be accessed within half an hours drive. In
addition, there are historic and native sites, which can be visited as well as
the tourism highlights of the parks such as the Columbia Icefield.
This is an adult oriented retreat catering to individuals,
couples and small special interest groups (hiking, nature, visual arts,
wellness). Minimum stays may apply. For more information about our
facility, area, packages, attractions and activities, visit our website
at www.aurumlodge.com.

"What a marvellous experience; Beautiful scenery;
Great hosts;
We could have stayed forever and will return.
This has probably been among the best getaways we have had.
A place that truly practices ecotourism in it's fullest is a rare jewel
indeed."
