Airport Pickup
Just give us your flight arrival
information (airline, origination, flight number and time of arrival)
and one our on-call taxi drivers will meet you outside of the baggage
claim area at San Jose International Airport and take you directly to
the B&B. The one-way rate is $45, about the same rate as an airport
taxi; however, our professional drivers will have a large sign with
your name on it, help you with your luggage and whisk you here in
about 40 minutes. Plus, we know them well and we trust them.
Bus
Service
There are buses that serve San Ramon (the
main town just 4km down the road from us) but if you are coming from
the airport, while cheap, it is more of a hassle than it is worth to
take the bus if you are getting off a flight from overseas. If you
really want to take the bus, contact us and we’ll explain the ins and
outs of getting here.
Driving
Directions from San Jose/San Jose International Airport
Take Inter americana North to San Ramon
turnoff, where the new Mall de Occidente is located. Go straight thru
town, about 10 blocks or 4 altos (stop signs) after th
e first (and
only) traffic light, where there’s a gas station. At the 4th alto,
you'll turn left, go to a light immediately, and turn right. The
Hospital is on that corner, on your left. Follow signs that read Villa
Blanca, Los Angeles and La Fortuna. There are also signs with a
replica of a volcano to follow.
After you turn right at the hospital light, you're
headed North again out of San Ramon towards the next town, San Juan.
About one mile later, right after two speed bumps and a school, there
is a Y intersection with a blue/green church, take the left option.
Again, follow signs for the above places plus Tabacon. From that
corner it's a straight shot to the next town, Los Angeles (Sur). At
the church/intersection, you are now 3 or so kilometers from Los
Angeles Sur, after a few switchback turns, a couple of hills and a
bridge.
The village of Los Angeles Sur is small, only consists of a liquor
store, one bar/restaurant, and a church / soccer field / school /
grocery store, and right there where all those things are, there is a
speed bump.
100 meters past the speed bump, there's a restaurant on your left
previously called Mi Rancho (now renamed The Original Cloud Forest
Restaurant, look for the Imperial Beer sign) and a place next door
that sells souvenirs previously called Mi Ranchito (now the Original
Hummingbird Souvenir Shop). Just past them, you'll see the sign on
the right side, saying “Angel Valley Farm B&B,” and a blue gate. Drive
right in (it is dirt road). We’re at the end of the "driveway.” The
house is traditional Costa Rican—blue and white and you can even see
it from the main road across from “Mi Rancho,”/”Original Cloud Forest
Restaurant.”
Late Arrival…
If you plan to arrive after 8pm, please call us so we can
provide directions to an alternative entrance to the B&B just ˝ KM up
the road. The gate to our neighborhood is closed at 8pm. We encourage
our guests to arrive before sundown (6pm) as Costa Rican roads can be
somewhat dicey at night, particularly during the rainy season.
Phone number here is (506) 447-4684 and the cell phone is (506) 308-7357.
