With unparalleled scenery, fresh air and nearly perfect temperatures, Angel Valley Farm Bed & Breakfast sits in the middle of 100 acres of pristine valleys and hills that the Tico Times calls "the Tuscany or Provence of Central America." We offer an opportunity to do many things, or just relax while escaping your everyday life. Angel Valley Farm B&B, a quaint yet remodeled former farm house with all modern conveniences, offers a different "off the beaten path" way to spend some time here, yet we're close to most everything you'll want to see and do.

From our front door, enjoy the rolling hills and deep valleys full of beautiful plants and trees. View birds and animals of all stripes. Take a hike near our streams and waterfall, ride our horses or take a bike ride, read a book among the gardens, get a massage or beauty treatment, watch a movie on your personal DVD player, or fall gently asleep in one of our hammocks.

Located in Los Angeles Sur, a small village just 4 km up the road from the vibrant town of San Ramon, Angel Valley Farm B&B is about half way between the international airport near San Jose and the famous Arenal Volcano near La Fortuna. The B&B is right off of the most-traveled tourist road in Costa Rica, only 40 minutes from the airport and 500 meters off the road. But it is also away from it all too. Situated in the center of hundreds of acres of pristine farmland and beautiful rolling hills with a mix of forest, sugar cane and coffee, along with streams and waterfalls, our traditional Costa Rican farmhouse has six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a large dining room/living combination and many outdoor spaces for a variety of activities.

Completely remodeled in 2005 with brand new, custom-made furniture throughout, Angel Valley Farm B&B retains all of the original details of a traditional 1950s Costa Rican farmhouse with modern upgrades including hot water in all bathrooms and comfortably firm beds with top quality sheets and pillows. Coupled with temperatures averaging 71^o F (22^o C) throughout the year, the weather is perfect for exploring or relaxing. A sheet or perhaps a light blanket is all you need for a restful night’s sleep.

Our guests come in all stripes from families with young children and teenagers, “empty nest” couples, others considering retirement here and young singles, straight and gay, and many others just looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of their everyday lives.

We have a variety of animals with something for everyone including horses, dogs and chickens. A few cats often come around. Coyotes have been spotted and occasionally you can hear them howling in the valley in front of the B&B and behind it. There have been sightings of possums and armadillos and quite a few flycatchers, tanagers, oropendolas, chacalacas, parrots and fireflies at night. Bird watchers find many interesting varieties of birds, spending hours wandering our property for new and interesting birds. A howler monkey makes an appearance every so often and some guests claim to have seen a small black panther.

Come ride our horses, take a hike on our numerous trails, visit many of the tourist attractions nearby, or simply relax on a hammock and take in the incredible valley outside our front door.

We can also arrange day trips to Arenal Volcano, Poas Volcano, Sarchi or other single- or multi-day trips throughout Costa Rica. We’re only about 1.5 hours from either coast, so we make a great jumping off spot for many activities. We have a wide variety of brochures, both hard copy and online, for your review. We’ll do the work—just tell us what you want to do!

In the morning before heading off to explore this wonderful country, enjoy a hearty breakfast combining traditional Costa Rican food with typical American fare, complete with eggs produced on our farm as well as local milk, breads, fresh fruit, tamales, vibrant Costa Rican coffee, and other amazing items. Enjoy your meal in our dining area, outside by the hammocks, out back in our “al fresco” dining area, or anywhere you choose! Prepared by a professional, American-trained chef, you don’t want to miss breakfast!
