The Mansion House, consist of three historic buildings surrounding a beautiful courtyard and garden, was built between 1901 and 1904. The houses are maintained in mint condition and provide the ultimate in quiet, comfortable accommodations. The houses have sparkling, Georgia Heart-of-Pine floors; beamed ceilings; and traditional arts and crafts. Suitable for both leisure and business travelers, our staff will ensure your visit is as perfect as we can make it.

The atmosphere you will enjoy is that of friendly, American hospitality and conviviality with great food – and lots of it – amenities, and quality guaranteed. We also offer special services for those who are here for medical treatment or on business. Our location is perfect for almost anything - sports, dining, shopping, the beach, theatre, museums, parks, etc.

Full American breakfast, snacks, and refreshments are included throughout your stay. Complimentary evening wine. Mansion House is small enough to be intimate and big enough for guests to have their own private space.  Great food from the Mansion House commercial kitchen can be catered for meetings and special events.

The rooms have themes with beautiful antiques and contemporary furnishings providing casual, inviting surroundings in which to relax and enjoy the ambiance of a great old place. All our rooms are individually and tastefully furnished.

Most of the bedding is hand-made by Pat Berry, and all of the artwork is done by internationally-shown artist Marva Simpson. We offer robes in your room, an attractive courtyard and garden with palms, flowers, large swimming pool and hot tub.

Our History:

Mansion House was the home of the first mayor of St. Peter, David Moffett, thus the name, which in Great Britain and her colonies signified the home of the mayor. It was lived in by one of the movers and shakers of this area, a partner in the building of the Vinoy Park Hotel in 1925, A. F. Thomasson, and his wife, Phoebe Mackie. Mansion House II was built by Julia Kemp and her husband, a noted physician in town.

The Mansion House is potentially eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places as a contributing element in a historic district. It is significant under the National Register criterion C as a representative example of Craftsman style architecture and its association with the development of the North Shore area, St Petersburg's foremost historic residential neighborhood.

The Mansion House has received two prestigious awards: The City of St. Petersburg 1993 Beautification Award, and in 1994 the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce Building Enhancement Award. The Mansion House II is a designated historic building.

Meeting Services:

Mansion House can provide your organization with a getaway meeting site that will have everyone working together in a much more informal setting than your typical conference or meeting room.

Conference Room Rental:
$200 per day 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

● Accommodations for up to 20 rooms. A minimum of seven rooms and conference facility must be rented for Mansion House II meetings. Checkout is by noon.
● Meeting facilitation including special graphics and presentation materials preparation.
● Off-site team-building activities such as boating, fishing, and attendance at local museums, galleries, ball games, and museums/galleries.
● Transportation arrangements from and to the airports.
● Catering on-site for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
● Provision of audio/visual/computer equipment.

How to find
Mansion House

Directions:

● I-275 North or South to
● Exit 23 (I-375) East, Exit 23 from the South and 23A from the North.
● Exit 2 to "The Pier"
● Drive straight thru 4 sets of traffic lights. Turn left at 5th traffic light (1st St. North) and Mansion House is on the NE corner at the next set of lights. Cross 5th Ave and park behind the house.
