The Mansion House, consist of three historic buildings surrounding a beautiful courtyard and garden, was built between 1901 and 1904. The houses are maintained in mint condition and provide the ultimate in quiet, comfortable accommodations. The houses have sparkling, Georgia Heart-of-Pine floors; beamed ceilings; and traditional arts and crafts. Suitable for both leisure and business travelers,  our staff and pets... Sam, Libby and Sasha... will ensure your visit is as perfect as we can make it.

The atmosphere you will enjoy is that of friendly, American hospitality and conviviality with great food – and lots of it – amenities, and quality guaranteed. We also offer special services for those who are here for medical treatment or on business. Full American breakfast, snacks, and refreshments are included throughout your stay. Complimentary evening wine. Mansion House is small enough to be intimate and big enough for guests to have their own private space.  Great food from the Mansion House commercial kitchen can be catered for meetings and special events.

Our History:
Mansion House was the home of the first mayor of St. Peter, David Moffett, thus the name, which in Great Britain and her colonies signified the home of the mayor. It was lived in by one of the movers and shakers of this area, a partner in the building of the Vinoy Park Hotel in 1925, A. F. Thomasson, and his wife, Phoebe Mackie. Mansion House II was built by Julia Kemp and her husband, a noted physician in town.

As you can see by the photos, the houses are done in pastels and very British B&B tradition in the main house and in traditional arts & crafts style in Mansion House II with each room being different in the furnishings provided—mostly antiques and rich woods with straight lines.

Meeting Services:
Mansion House can provide your organization with a getaway meeting site that will have everyone working together in a much more informal setting than your typical conference or meeting room.

Not only does getting everyone out of the office help relieve stress from constant interruptions, it also provides the informal venue for team building and relaxed conversations that just seem to happen when you are in a beautiful home. A conference room is available for group meetings and catering can be arranged.

Cancellation Policy: Trip Interruption Plan (TIP) is available, for cancellation up to 5 days before arrival with $15 restocking fee. Deposit of one night, last night reserved, is non-refundable during high-season, Nov.-May, and special events, without the TIP. Can be applied to future stay.
