Built in 1898 to house ranking officers and their families at Fort Screven (active from 1898-1945 and on the National Register of Historic Places), the Savannah Beach Inn is one of nine grandiose homes situated on a bluff near the beach known as Officers Row.
 

Tybee Island is the perfect vacation spot for both seafarers and land lovers. Its proximity to the beach and to Savannah offers a lot of possibilities for historic sightseeing, water sports, sunbathing and enjoying native seafood at one of Tybee's great restaurants. The Tybee Historic Society has a museum nearby and the Lighthouse is on tour.

The inn is situated on a bluff known as Officers Row with a great view of the Atlantic. It features a huge wrap around porch, ornate tin ceilings, and a uniquely designed period kitchen that is a favorite gathering place for guests.

The Inn features views of the Atlantic Ocean and the entrance to Savannah Harbor.

Quality Accommodations:

All of the luxurious guest rooms, named after former officers of Fort Screven, have private baths, cable TV, and phone.

The pretty-in-pink Martus has a park view, king-size Eastlake bed and a garden tub in the bath. The ocean-view from all 3 windows, king-size canopy bed, corner fireplace, and garden tub distinguish the Morgan.
 

The magnificent Marshall has a captivating view of the Atlantic and the entrance to the Savannah Harbor, a king-size bed, 2 person spa with a Tybee Lighthouse view, vaulted ceilings, and wet bar. It is the best Tybee Island has to offer.

The enchanting Bugbee has a queen-size Victorian bed, fireplace, bath with his and her sinks, and a peak of the ocean.

●  Rates vary by season and are based on two guests. Credit card or cash deposit equal to one night's stay (50% for stays of four nights or more) required with reservation.

●  Full breakfast included.

●  Antique-appointed king and queen accommodations with central heat and air, private bath, phone and cable TV.

●  Close to Savannah (15 miles) yet across from the beach and steps from the Tybee Lighthouse.

●  Continental Plus breakfast served and an evening wine reception during your stay.

●  Not suitable for children under 7.

●  Sorry, no pets. (Pets are not allowed on Tybee beach!).

●  Smoking is not allowed in the inn.

●  Check-In: 3 p.m., Out: 11 a.m.

●  Cancellations Policy: Deposit refunded if cancellation is more than seven (7) days in advance of arrival date. For cancellations or changes made within seven (7) days of arrival date, you will be charged for all of the nights reserved.

How to find our
Special Georgia Hideaway

●  Coming from I95 exit onto the I16 towards Savannah.
●  Exit I16 at Martin Luther King Blvd. and turn left.
●  Turn right on Bay Street and proceed across Savannah to General McIntosh Blvd. (past the Marriot on the Left).
●  Turn left on President Street.
●  President Street flows into the Island Expressway and then US 80 to Tybee Island.
●  Once on the island look for the first stop light (there is a Chevron gas station on the corner). Turn left here onto Campbell.
●  Turn right onto Van Horn at the stop sign.
●  Turn left onto Cedarwood at the next stop sign.
●  Our inn is the sixth house on the right. Park directly behind the house or in the side parking lot. Please do not park on the opposite side of the street.

The Inn features a charming period kitchen that is a favorite gathering place for guests.
