Absolute Paradise Gay Bed & Breakfast features spacious rooms with queen-size beds and ceiling fans to cool you with the balmy Trade Winds.  Shared bathrooms in main house or private bathroom in our split-level Paradise Suite.

Breakfast is served daily with garden-fresh tropical fruit. We are located minutes from the beach, in the heart of the volcanic Puna District of the Big Island of Hawaii. We are a short drive to the Volcanoes National Park, majestic waterfalls, lush tropical botanical gardens, hiking, and snorkeling.  Perfect for eco-tourism adventures or just come and relax by the pool or at the beach.

Water activities: The Absolute Paradise guesthouse  is located a mere 5 minute walk away from the clothing-optional black sand Kehena Beach.  This is where you'll have a chance to swim with dolphins, sea turtles, and the abundant tropical fish found on the reefs.

Volcanic attractions: From our  home base you will have easy access to the rivers of molten lava that are flowing into the ocean to this day.  This sight is particularly awesome
at night, when the orange glow from the molten magma covers an entire hillside.

A short 10 minute drive away are some of the Big Island's most interesting geological formations: steam vents.  These vents, the larger of which form caves, allow steam -- formed when rain water comes in contact with geothermally heated rock -- to escape through cracks and channels in the rock.  Take a  natural steam bath after a hard day at the beach.

Lava Tree State Park, about 15 minutes away, has some of the most intriguing lava rock formations on the entire Hawaiian Islands.  As lava flowed through old forests, it encased the larger trees -- burning them to ashes -- but not before retaining their shapes forever.

Volcano's National Park, where you can see ancient petroglyphs, old and new lava flows, giant craters, lava tubes, Hawaiian art galleries, and much more, is about an hour away.

Food and Relaxation: Historic Pahoa Town is a 15 minute drive from  our home.  There you'll find a number of highly recommended ethnic restaurants and shops.  Or have us book you a massage, watsu (water shiatsu), or wassertansen to unwind after your day of exploration.

Breakfast: A breakfast of home-baked breads, muffins, cakes, and fresh Hawaiian fruit is served daily to guests.  Be sure to try the banana and macadamia nut bread--a sweet treat to please your palate--and wash it down with fresh brewed Kona coffee, or pick from an assortment of teas and juices.

Clothing-optional policy: Feel free to shed it all when relaxing on the sundeck, pool and hot-tub.

Smoking policy: The safety and comfort of all guests is our prime concern during your stay with us; as such we have a no-smoking policy inside the house and rooms.  Guests who wish to smoke are invited to do so outside.

Parking: Ample free parking is available for our guests.

Telephone & Fax: Guests may use the house phone for local and toll-free calls at no charge.  Faxes may be sent/received for $1.00 per page.

Cancellation Policy: Refund of deposit (minus $50 service fee) if cancelled 15 or more days prior to arrival.  No refunds if cancelled 14 or fewer days prior to scheduled arrival.
