A Bella Vista Bed and Breakfast,
aptly named for its beautiful view of the Iowa River and the performing
arts campus Hancher Auditorium. Located in Iowa City's historical north
side in a quiet neighborhood of stately homes and within walking
distance from downtown and the University of Iowa.
Built in the 1920's, this air-conditioned home is tastefully decorated with
antiques and international artifacts. A Bella Vista provides three large
comfortable suites with in-room private baths and two rooms with shared bath.
All rooms have televisions. Twin, queen, or full beds are available. Enjoy a
full complimentary breakfast with international flavor with your well-traveled
hostess.
Iowa City is the home of the University of Iowa Hawkeyes. It is also
the hub of an exciting tourist area which includes: the Amana Colonies; Kalona,
with its Amish culture; the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Memorial in
West Branch; and Iowa City's Old Capitol. Coral Ridge Mall is one of the largest
in the Midwest.
Free University Cambus or the economical City bus is only a short distance
away. The Hancher complex is just across Park Road Bridge. It is from there that
you can catch free shuttle buses to athletic events. A Bella Vista is convenient
to shops and restaurants and is less than a mile from I-80.

Personal checks accepted. Sorry, we do not take credit cards. Minimum stay is
two nights on special weekends.

Dubuque Street exit 244, turn left on Brown Street, then first left on Linn
Street one block to #2 Bella Vista Place. House on left side of the street.
From Downtown: take Dubuque Street North to Brown Street, Right on
Brown, then first left on Linn Street one block to #2 Bella Vista Place. House
on left side of the street.
