The 1891 Castle Inn is a 9,500 square foot Gilded Age mansion, offering nine suites and rooms, steps off St. Charles Avenue, the route of the world-famous streetcar and the Mardi Gras parades (viewable from our windows). If you are looking for something other than a run of the mill, "been there, done that" touristy vacation in a cookie-cutter hotel room, we invite you to come stay with us.
 

The 1891 Castle Inn offers the best of both worlds - one of the most beautiful and exclusive neighborhoods in the world - yet minutes from the oft times wild and wacky French Quarter.

Directions: Driving from the airport, take Highway 10 EAST to New Orleans. Exit at "Business District - 90" (NOT "10 East Slidell"). Don't cross the Mississippi Bridge. Get off at St. Charles / Carondelet St. Exit. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp onto St. Charles Ave, go about 8 blocks, to Third St. Turn left onto Third St. and go one long block. Turn right onto PRYTANIA St., go one block. Turn right onto FOURTH St. and drive back towards St. Charles Avenue. We are the second to last house on the right before hitting St. Charles again.
