Greenwood Manor Inn is located 38 miles northwest of Portland, Maine in
the Lakes and Mountains Region on over 100 acres of secluded lawns, gardens
and woodlands. Spectacular views and outdoor activities await you in
all seasons. We recommend hiking, boating, swimming in warm weather
while skiing (both Nordic and alpine) are within minutes of our inn.
Snowshoeing and snowmobiling are at our doorstep. Several fine dining
establishments are within a 5 minute drive.
The Inn offers seven guestrooms and two suites each with a private bath and
views of the surrounding gardens and woodlands. The air-conditioned guest
rooms, decorated with antiques and plush furnishings, are located in the
converted carriage house. A new two-room luxury suite
is now available and features a king size bed, oversized whirlpool tub,
fireplace, wet bar, and more! |

Day trips exist in all directions...travel to North Conway, NH for
tax-free shopping at the outlets, drive through the scenic Kangamanus
Highway or Grafton Notch with the possibility of seeing moose, explore
the Old Port section of Portland, travel to Pemiquid Point for
spectacular ocean views, or drive up Mount Washington to experience the
highest mountain east of the Mississippi. All of this is within an
hour's drive of the inn.
Downhill skiing at Shawnee Peak, Sunday River, and Mt.
Abram are only a short drive from Greenwood
Manor Inn. For Nordic ski enthusiasts, a half dozen locations
await you as close as 5 minutes away. Skating, and ice fishing are also
popular wintertime activities in the area. We boast of having over 600
miles of groomed trails right outside our back door!

After a busy day absorbing the beauty of our region, si t
back and relax on our covered deck or in front of a crackling fire and
reflect on the special moments of the day.
One hundred and eight wonderful acres surrounding the inn are here to
explore. Take a leisurely stroll through the perennial gardens, sit
along the banks of Bear River, or take a hike up our wooded hillside to
view Long Lake. We have various lawn games for your enjoyment or just
spend a relaxing evening on our spacious deck or on our hammock under
the tree. Canoes are available for guest use at the near-by lakes.
Once the ice house, our recently renovated den features a crackling
fireplace during frosty days and comfortable furnishings for your
relaxation or quiet conversation. Enjoy our enclosed sunporch, perfect
for curling up to re ad
a book on a lazy afternoon. A small conference room is also available
for meetings or seminars for up to 10 people.
A full, home-baked, country breakfast is served each morning in the
spacious dining area or on the covered deck overlooking the gardens
which are a sanctuary for a variety of birds and wildlife. And you can
be sure to find fresh baked cookies or brownies every afternoon on the
server!

Directions :-
From I-95 in Maine, take exit 48 (Westbrook).
Follow 302 west to Bridgton (about 30 miles). At the traffic light
go straight on 117 north
for 4 miles. Turn left on Tolman road.
Greenwood Manor is 1/4 mile on left.
