The Harbour Cottage Inn is one of the most historic destinations on the island and is a casual and elegant 1870's Victorian bed and breakfast. The Inn was built as a part of the Island House, a 250 room hotel which was the first summer hotel on Mount Desert Island.

The Inn is located atop Dirigo Hill overlooking the picturesque waters of Southwest Harbor, Maine, just minutes away from Bar Harbor and the world famous Acadia National Park. Located near center the center of town, the Inn is within walking distance of wonderful restaurants, shopping, marinas, and lobster wharves. Southwest Harbor is renowned for its quiet seaside village, friendly folks, and breathtaking landscape.

How to Find Us:
From Ellsworth, follow Route-3 toward Bar Harbor. After crossing onto the island, bear right and follow Route-102 through historic Somesville and continue to Southwest Harbor. Proceed to the center of town and then turn left on Clark Point Road. Continue to Harbour Cottage Inn on the left side of the road atop Dirigo hill overlooking Southwest Harbor.
