The Seven Hills Inn
invites you to enjoy the romantic luxuries of a time long since past. Stay at
the inn and enter a world that others have been discovering since the turn of
the century. It is furnished with care worn antiques, hand-carved fireplaces,
leaded glass windows and high ceiling charm, all of it original to the inn's
past when it was known as `Shipton Court', one of the original Berkshire
cottages.
The In is comprised of 15 Manor House and 37 Terrace House Guestrooms. Three are
handicapped accessible. Situated on 27 acres, the property is the perfect
setting for reading or strolling. During the warmer months enjoy our 60 foot
pool and 2 hard surface tennis courts.
An important part of any holiday is good food, so you'll be delighted when you
sample our exceptional cuisine. The menu's European influences are complimented
by our gracious settings. In the winter, guests enjoy relaxed fireside dining,
while warmer weather beckons them to the patio, for a meal highlighted by the
surrounding Berkshire hills.
The Seven Hills Inn has long been noted as a site for Banquets, Weddings,
Business Retreats and Conferences. Along with great food and a lovely setting,
our exceptional personal service promises to make your event special. We welcome
the opportunity to discuss your banquet or meeting needs, to show you how we can
make your event a successful one, tailored to your individual taste.
We are located in the heart of the Berkshires, within minutes of the areas' many
year round activities. Among these delights are The National Music Foundation,
The Berkshire Public Theatre and many historic homes and sites worthy of a
special visit, including Herman Melville's `Arrowhead', the Hancock Shaker
Village and the William Cullen Bryant homestead. Our many cultural institutions
include the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge and the Sterling and Francine
Clark Art Institute in nearby Williamstown.
The region is a recreational paradise. There are dozens of lakes and rivers
perfect for boating, swimming and fishing and miles of country lanes for biking
and walking. The Berkshires are home to a very impressive array of summer
activities. Nearby Tanglewood is the summer home of the Boston Symphony
Orchestra. Just minutes away is the Berkshire Theatre Festival, one of the
oldest summer stock theatres in the country. In Becket, discover the celebrated
Jacobs Pillow Dance Theatre. Next door to Seven Hills is the Edith Wharton
estate, home of the celebrated Shakespeare and Company.
In the fall, join us on our patio and delight in the changing colors of the
season. You'll also enjoy the many local festivals celebrating foliage season,
with outdoor bazaars, hayrides, cider pressing and entertainment. During the
wintry months, the Berkshire hills are home to downhill skiing areas and a
number of cross-country touring centers. What could be more romantic than
returning from a day on the slopes to your own fire placed guestroom for a sip
of brandy in front of a roaring fire?
