"Where Western
Architecture meets Eastern Hospitality"

In Cape May, the Bed and
Breakfast capital of the world, there is one that stands out from
the rest - The Mission Inn. We offer travelers a totally different
look in a time honored approach to relaxation. As the sun dips and a
gentle breeze kicks up, the sleepy shadows of the Southwest welcomes
you to The Mission Inn.
The Mission Inn with
its sweeping verandas is one short block from the Atlantic Ocean.
Inspired by Nelson Z. Graves' journey to the Pacific Coast at the
turn of the 20th century, the Mission Inn is a perfect example of
California Spanish Mission Architecture. Its stained glass windows
gracing the dining room, Flemish gable, and latticed veranda
contribute to the warm feeling of this al fresco house.

The
Mission Inn offers you the grandeur of the Gatsby Era. For many
years the Inn had been a mecca for Hollywood film stars and Broadway
show people. Enjoy the same ambiance as Tyrone Power, Erroll Flynn,
Diana Barrymore, Gloria Swanson, and Robert Preston. If the walls
could speak they would murmur a century of her guests' colorful
secrets.
The Mission Inn is blessed with spacious, sunny rooms. Enjoy
fresh coffee and teas, accented by the aroma of our bountiful
breakfasts. Take a walk to the beach or onto the boardwalk where you
may be greeted by morning joggers, bird watchers and bicyclists.
Stroll along Cape May's quiet tree lined streets, which feature
unique architecture, historic sites, and fragrant and colorful
flower gardens. Return to The Mission Inn's latticed pergola or the
enclosed west solarium and enjoy a complimentary refreshment before
dinner. Meet your fellow guests and share the day's most memorable
moments, a story, or just sit back and relax on one of our many
comfortable arm chairs or sofas.
Cape May enjoys
the dual distinction of being a National Historic Landmark City and
being America's Oldest Seashore resort. The City sits at the
southernmost tip of New Jersey where the Delaware Bay meets the
Atlantic Ocean. Cape May is an island, separated from the mainland
by the Cape May Canal.
Sea breezes abound. Acclaimed
restaurants, spectacular architecture and broad, sunny beaches
contribute to Cape May's allure with year-round activities.
