Directions:
The following directions bring you to the Inn once you're in the Taos
area. For directions from further out, check our web site.
Driving south from the Taos Plaza area:
We are approximately 4 miles south from Kit Carson Rd. where it
intersects Highway #68 (which in town is also listed as Paseo del Pueblo
Norte north of Kit Carson, and Paseo del Pueblo Sur south of Kit
Carson).
As you drive south and approach the Inn, you will pass a yellow blinking
light and be asked to slow down to 30 miles per hour. This light
marks the Ranchos de Taos Plaza on your left, along with its St. Francis
of Assisi Church. Start watching for our driveway on the left
within the next half-mile.
You'll then see a sign for Vargas Tile on your right, and our driveway
is the next one on your left. You enter between tall colored
telephone-like poles, and come down the long driveway to its end, which
is our parking area. Proceed to the "Oficina" for check in.
Driving north from the Santa Fe area:
Our Inn is approximately a 1.25 hour drive from Santa Fe. As you
come into Taos you'll be on Highway #68 (unless you come in on the High
Road, which is #518 -- then see notes below*).
As you enter the Taos valley and start seeing structures along Highway
#68, watch for mile marker #41. We're the next drive on your right
after this mile marker.
You enter between tall colored telephone-like poles, and come down the
long driveway to its end. Proceed to the "Oficina" for check in.
*If you're taking the High Road in from Santa Fe, when it comes to a
dead end in the Taos area, it ends on Highway #68. Turn LEFT at
this intersection, and go south about .75 miles. Then see
instructions at the top of this sheet from Ranchos de Taos Plaza south.
