on Main Street Accommodations
The Inn on Main Street Bed
and Breakfast offers seven rooms
furnished with antiques. All have private baths, some with whirlpool tubs for
two, and most feature gas fireplaces. Cost is $115 to $155, double occupancy.
King, queen, double and twin beds are available. All rooms are air conditioned
and have cable TV.
The Monroe Room (Full Sized Bed)
The
Monroe Room, on the second floor,
features lovely oak furnishings with hand-carved and inlaid details, a double
bed and private bath with a shower. This romantic room has the nicest view of
the mountains. It costs $115 for double occupancy. The cost for single occupancy
is $105 weekends and holidays, or $95 midweek or extended stay.
King Sized Beds
or Twin Beds
The Ayers and Lee
rooms, both located in the main house, are available in either king or twin bed
configurations, to suit the needs of our guests. Both have gas fireplaces in
original mantels.
The Ayers
Room
The Ayers Room, occupying half of the second floor, is roomy and romantic. It
includes a huge private bath with tub and shower, and ample space to unpack and
relax. Furnishings include an antique dresser, love seat and maple desk. This
room is $155, double occupancy. Price includes full breakfast.
The Lee
Room
The Lee, named for the Confederate general, is furnished with a love seat and
desk, and has a private bath remodeled in January 2004 to include a whirlpool
tub for two and a shower. It's on the first floor and converts easily from twins
to king. It is only steps from the front porch, making it popular with those who
don't wish to climb stairs. This room is $155, double occupancy. Price includes
full breakfast.
Queen Beds
The Kiser and
Robinson rooms, both located in the main house, each come with queen beds and
private baths with showers. Both rooms are popular with honeymooners and those
celebrating anniversaries.

The Robinson Room, next to the back porch, has an airy, tropical feel. The
Robinson bath has an antique enamel tub and vanity created from an antique
medical instruments cabinet. This room's furnishings include a wicker settee and
desk, with a freestanding gas fireplace for warmth and ambience. This room is
$135, double occupancy, $115 single occupancy. Price includes full breakfast.
The Kiser
Room
The Kiser Room is an octagonal bay room furnished in mahogany, with a pair of
Napoleonic armchairs upholstered in red velvet and an Empire style dresser/desk.
The room features a massive mahogany bed. This room is $135, double occupancy,
$115 single occupancy. Price includes full breakfast.
Cottage Rooms
The Forest and Garden rooms are especially popular with couples who want to come
and go at odd hours and long-term visitors who enjoy the privacy and
independence of quarters away from the main house. These rooms are separated
from the main house by a garden path, but are connected by roofed porches. Both
feature Dan's handmade tiles in the fireplace surrounds and bathrooms.

Forest Room
The Forest Room has country touches, including pine paneling and handmade
quilts. This room features a high-backed wooden queen bed, a gas fireplace, air
conditioning, cable TV and a private bath with a whirlpool tub for two. The
Forest Room is $155, double occupancy. Price includes full breakfast.
The
Garden Room
The Garden Room, like the Forest, has a high-backed queen wooden bed and a
bathroom that includes a whirlpool tub for two. This room also features a gas
fireplace, air conditioning, and cable TV. This room is $155, double occupancy.

Terms:
Two-night minimum stay required for weekends between March 31 and Jan. 1.
Three-night minimum required on October weekends and some holidays. Deposit
equal to half the total bill required, refundable (minus a $25 processing fee)
with 14 days' notice of cancellation. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, cash and
checks accepted.
Smoking
is permitted on outside porches only. No pets. Sorry, but the inn is not
suitable for children younger than 12.
