Cancellation Policy: More than 7 days notice
incurs no charge. From 7 to 1 day cancellation incurs a 50% charge useable
as a deposit on a future visit. 24 h ours
or less is full charge, non useable.
DIRECTIONS:
From Washington and points South:
Take Route 95/495 to Route 270 North. This blends into
Route 15 North at Frederick MD. Proceed on Route 15 North about 35 miles to the
Baltimore Street exit (Route 97). Turn towards Gettysburg and proceed 2.7 miles
to the third traffic light. Turn right onto East Middle Street. We are half a
block east on the right.
From New York and points North:
From Route 78, 81 or 83, take the PA Turnpike (Route
76) to Exit 17, marked Gettysburg. (Try to avoid going through Harrisburg due to
traffic.) Get ontoRoute 15 South and proceed about 30 miles to the Hanover
Street Exit (Route 116). Proceed 1.5 miles towards Gettysburg. Turn left onto
Third Street. Go one block and turn right onto East Middle Street. The Gaslight
Inn is two blocks on the left.
From Pittsburgh and points West: Take the PA Turnpike (Route 76) East to Exit 17,
Gettysburg. Get onto Route 15 South and f ollow
insructions above "From New York and Points North." Alternative: Follow Route 30
East out of Breezewood PA. This is scenic, winding and pretty but a problem is
there are many trucks on the road. Follow Route 30 to the traffic circle at
Gettysburg Lincoln Square. Then take Business 15 South one block, and turn left
on East Middle Street. We are half a block East on the right.
From Baltimore and points East:
Take Route 70 West to Route 15 North. Follow directions above "From
Washington..."
To our customers flying
to area airports: There is a small airport in town if
you have a private plane. Let us know if we can help you
arrange for a rental car upon your arrival. For customers using commercial
airlines, you may find you have less expensive tickets and more flight options
if you fly in to BWI (Baltimore Washington International) or into one of the two
DC airports, Dulles or Reagan (used to be National). Any of these airports is
about 90 -120 minutes from our inn, depending on traffic/time of day. Harrisburg
airport is about 45-60 minutes away, but tends to have more limited flight
options.
