Upon arrival our guests relax on our old-fashioned porch or fountain area
surrounded by flowers and trees, with complimentary wine and cheese served each
afternoon after their day of touring Newport, RI. We are also located close to
some beautiful Rohde Island beaches.
Old-Fashioned Way of Life.
Enjoy a peaceful night of rest away from the activities of downtown in our
quaint, comfortable, newly renovated country rooms. Each room has fresh cut flowers from our garden, ceiling fans, full or queen
beds, private baths, decorated in relaxing country colors and furnished with
country and Victorian style family antiques.
Our comfortable, home-style surroundings make guests feel right at home and
keep them returning year after year. For your convenience, a computer and fax
are available, and parking is always free.
Breakfast is served 8:30 - 9:30 each morning, in
surroundings of traditional country decor and furnished with family antiques.
Visit our New Patio.
We have added a new patio area. By day you can enjoy the sun or the shaded
fountain area, and then in the evening join us around the chimera fire before
retiring for the night.
Reasonable Rates:
Package Plans & Weekday Specials.
Pricing varies depending on the season from $85 - $169 per night per room for 2
plus tax / SC. A deposit of 50% in advance will hold your room. We accept credit
cards, personal checks, travelers checks. Please call us for pricing and
information on other package plans we have available on going throughout the
year. Gift Certificates are available.
The Country Goose offers as well as B&B, reasonable weekly rentals at
certain times with (special pricing call for details) to wedding parties, or
business groups. It is a great place for the family of the bride, groom, or the
wedding party to stay and prepare for the big day, and for that convention you
must attend, we are perfectly located. The Highest Level
of Service.

Cancellation Policy:
- Full Refund - If
cancellation is made 10 days prior to arrival.
- Refund Forfeited - If cancellation is made less than 10 days prior to arrival.
How to Find Us:-
From the North:
- Take 93 South to 24 South
- Take the RT-24 S exit, exit
number 4, on the left towards BROCKTON.
- Continuing on 24 south.
- Take the RT-24 S/I-195 W exit,
exit number 41W, towards FALL RIVER. Take the very next exit (it comes up
quickly) RT-24 S exit, exit number 8A, towards TIVERTON R.I./NEWPORT R.I.
- Going over the Tiverton bridge.
Follow on this road till you come to the exit that reads Newport/Middletown
beaches take this exit and at the end of ramp bear right to the set of lights
- At lights bear right now your
on 138 E.
Follow this road all the way into Middletown passing the State Police Barracks
on your right and then Chaves Gardens on your left about 1 mile.
- Just after Chaves Gardens, on
your left, you will then see a small white building with the shop "Apex
Kitchen". At the fork in the road, take a left onto Turner Road.
- Go to the 2nd stop sign and The
Country Goose is directly in front of you, Cross over Green End Ave. into our
driveway. Pull in the back and park.
From the South:
- Take 95 North to Exit 3A (138
east).
- Follow Rte. 138 and Newport and
Jamestown Bridge signs.
- Go over Jamestown Bridge, then
over Newport Bridge.
- Take Exit 2 off Newport Bridge
towards Fall River.
- At the bottom of exit ramp,
you'll see the Jai Alai building directly in front of you. At this traffic
light, turn left and go straight up the hill through two sets of traffic
lights.
- You are now on Miantonomi
Avenue. Go through first stop sign down the hill to next stop sign (Green End
Florist) is at you right and the start of Green End Avenue.
- Go through this stop sign and
the next 2 lights going straight and up hill. Just after the 2nd stop light
and passing Sand's Liquors on your right;
- The Country Goose is on the
right about 7 houses from Sandy's. You will see our sign on the lawn, geese on
mailbox and a welcome goose on the front of the property.
