The Farmhouse has an understated charm accented with stained glass, iron and stonework, cabinetry and furnishings made by local artisans. Each room contains a mix of English and Irish antiques and original art. Without clutter, simple and appealing, everything you might need is provided. 

The striking dining room houses a 14-foot hand-made table where you will be served a fireside gourmet breakfast. Sample gingerbread pancakes with an apple/raisin syrup, boursin egg frittata or a smoked salmon crepe.

Our 3 guestrooms are decorated with your leisure in mind. Each room is complimented with a luxurious queen bed, fine Egyptian cotton sheets, warm alpaca blankets, a writing table, private bath, ceiling fans, plush robes, hair dryer, VCR, data port and lovely views.

A local certified masseuse is available to rub your stress away. Our common rooms include the parlor which offers a game table, cable TV and VCR, video library, phone and refreshments.

The farm is also waiting to be explored. You will encounter the finest of all fiber animals, the alpaca. We also raise Nigerian Dwarf goats, Clun Forest sheep and have 1 curious llama to talk to you. Wildlife abounds and a walk down by the wetlands of the Bush River is always a calm, soothing interlude.  The mellow sunsets are a treat. If you are in the mood for a game of billiards or a pint of Guinness you are welcome in the Pub game room. Billiards, cable TV and darts all await you.    

We also offer specials for romantic honeymoons, anniversaries or birthdays. We will be happy to host your small wedding, commitment ceremony, rehearsal dinner, bridal luncheon, business meeting or tea.  You will not have a better experience than that at The Farmhouse at Bush River. Other meals are available upon special request, evening dessert, cordials, hors d'oeuvres, in-room or on-deck coffee/tea service. We also offer meeting room facilities, a private porch, rooms with scenic views, gift shop on site, guest refrigerator (filled), full breakfast, game room, sitting room/library, antiques, piano, VCR and air conditioning. Smoking is permitted on the outside porches

Our gourmet breakfasts, Irish pub game room, the Alpaca gift store and the varied wildlife will make your stay memorable.

Directions:  From I-26 get off on Exit 52.  Turn right onto Hwy 56 and proceed through South Carolina.  Pass Presbyterian College and take the left fork in the road by the Citgo station. Continue past a Bi-Lo and an Ingles Grocery.  We are 2 miles past Ingles on the left.
