Our log home was
built in 1996 on property that has been in the family for more than
100 years. The Lampstand is a restful retreat with a relaxed atmosphere.
Located on six wooded acres, just off a major thoroughfare, it's easy to forget
the world here. We want you to be comfortable and call the shots, so you
can be as lazy or stay as busy as you like. Whether a nap in the hammock
or a night out on the town suit you - or both - you'll find much to please the
body, mind and spirit at The Lampstand and in our area.
We have two guest rooms
available. The Pleasant Valley Room is named for our small neighborhood.
This cozy room with two log walls has an antique iron double bed and large
private bath. It is located in the main house. The Treehouse Studio
is located over the woodshop. Vaulted ceiling, rustic furnishings and a
birdhouse collection create an open woodsy charm. Private entrance, queen
bed, kitchenette, TV/VCR, cable modem and private bath.
We serve tea every afternoon by the fire in
the main room or on the sun porch. It's a great time to visit and get info
on the area from a couple of locals - us!
Please note that we have one dog and two cats that have access to our main
areas. The Treehouse is pet free. Our joy is to serve the Lord and to serve you,
as well - so come visit!
