This magnificent 1911 home welcomes you with 10-foot wide hallways,
towering ceilings, an elegant center stairway, a warm, cherry paneled
library, and a massive living room. Old French country furniture accents
the comfortable modern sofas and
soft chairs in the living room and
library. The dining room offers individual seating.
We encourage our guests at
Highland Place to use all of the public rooms including our huge living
room with music, fireplace, and comfort. Our cherry paneled library is
warm, cozy and invites you to sink into a soft leather seat with a book
for the evening or the morning paper before a scrumptious breakfast.
Have your breakfast in a
sun-filled room featuring pine tables and chairs made for Highland

Four beautiful guest rooms. . .
Our three-room suite, Wall's Atrium, features a large cherry
king bed, a gas log fireplace, warm ceramic tile floor, a sitting room
with skylight, and a dual shower head. The Hamilton Room is a
large, bright room with a working fireplace, a double soaking tub, and a
supremely comfortable walnut and cherry queen canopy bed with a
handcrafted, "dreamland" mattress. The Butler Room is furnished
with a rich golden pine bedroom ensemble that includes a feather soft
queen mattress. The Louis Room's plantation pine queen bedroom
ensemble features an elegantly handcrafted, deep queen mattress and an
antique claw footed tub.

breakfast.

enjoy the walnut and cherry rope rocking chair handcrafted for us by
Gerry Grant. Select a book of poems, refresh your memory of a famous
Shakespearean passage, relax in the world of poetry, go for an
"adrenaline rush" novel, or breeze through the many travel books and
magazines at your leisure.
Come relax at Highland Place, approximately 3.3 miles south of I-40 Exit
82A on Rt. 45. Convenient to golf, historic sites, Casey Jones and
railroad museum, Shiloh, nature trails, antiques and other shops.
