Gracehill Bed & Breakfast
Come for the Beauty, Come for the Solitude, Come and Enjoy....

Welcome to Gracehill, winner three years in a row of Inn Traveler’s “Best Scenic View from a B&B in the United States”. One guest says,"...this is beyond elegant, it's exquisite." One of Townsend, TN's crown jewels, Gracehill is the highest home in the county, with a 360-degree view of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Gracehill borders on the Park and your privacy is second only to the view. The atmosphere is gracious and the amenities are luxurious.

In the middle of a triangle formed by Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Townsend, we are only minutes from all three. In Townsend you have the natural beauty and serenity of the Cades Cove entrance to the National Park. Hiking, biking, fly-fishing, tubing, caving, auto touring, spend a day at leisure and feel you have stepped back in time. Gracehill is also eleven miles from a "shop till you drop" experience in Pigeon Forge. Music theaters, outlet malls, and Dollywood are but 20 minutes away. Take a little-used entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and drive gorgeous River Road to Gatlinburg less than 15 miles away. Fine restaurants shopping, the aquarium, the arts and crafts community, and Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail are the best Gatlinburg has to offer.

Completed in the fall of 2000 some of the amenities include WI-FI, guest computer, free U.S. long distance phone service, copy machine, FAX, king beds, whirlpools, hot tub, steam shower, fireplaces, large HD flat screen TV’s with DVD and VCR player, exercise room, massages, library, 12 foot ceilings, original art work, patios, verandas, and decks.

Breakfast is a three-course candlelight elegant affair.  We use different menus, china, crystal and flower arrangements everyday.  We start off with choices of beverages, a pastry, a fresh fruit, and a wide variety of main courses.  This can be served on the main top veranda, the formal dining room, the morning room, or the back
garden patio area next to a waterfall.

Enjoy a beautiful sunrise
, an elegant breakfast, a day spent doing nothing or everything and the romance of watching the sun go down over the mountain ranges of the Great Smokies. Gracehill Bed & Breakfast has an intimate setting in a place of grandeur. Indulge.....

Guest Rooms

The Key Largo Room and Bath is furnished in matching 1876 Eastlake burled walnut antiques with white marble and green leather tops. One may feel they are underwater starting with the hand-sponged ceiling with crown molding and indirect lighting and draped fabric. The colors are a soft aquamarine, bottle sea green, violet, and white, which are carried into the bathroom complete with a whirlpool tub/shower combination. The bathroom wall tile is cut like waves rolling in and the fixtures are full-bodied swans. TV, VCR, Desk, and all the modern amenities complete this room along with a fantastic view of the Townsend Valley and the Chilhowee Mountain range. The outside entrance to this rooms leads onto the main veranda where you will find the outdoor hot tub.

The Casablanca Room and Bath.  It is an eclectic blend of American antiques in oak. The tray ceiling is a deep dark burgundy complete with a palm leaf fan. Other colors are warms greens, gold and cream. Hunchback trunks, tapestries, rattan, and elephants finish off the room. The double-French exterior doors pass through an outside stone arch going onto a deck (view of the Townsend Valley and the Chilhowee Mountain range) with a private sitting area with 2 swivel rockers and footstools. This deck leads onto a big veranda where the outdoor hot tub is. Newly added in 2005 is a fireplace and flat-screen TV with a DVD/VCR tape player.  The bathroom is complete with 2 sinks and a whirlpool tub/shower combination.

Spellbound  Bed and Bath is where you will find the most amenities.  Newly completed in 2005 it boasts the only two-person whirlpool and a separate steam shower.  It has a fireplace and a large high definition flat screen TV with a DVD/VCR tape player.  It has double 8-foot tall French doors that go out onto a private balcony with swivel rockers and a table overlooking a waterfall. This balcony leads into the main veranda where the hot tub is. The room is decorated with the very neutral colors of cream, putty, beige, and gold.  A few black accents and two splashes of color in the artwork hang on the walls.  The antique desk has 13 secret compartments.  An old lock and key collection hang next to a hand carved wood panel.  The focal point is a beautiful mirror hanging at the head of the bed and a chandelier hanging in an octagon recessed portion of the ceiling.

Roman Holiday Bed and Bath complete with fireplace, is furnished with Italian antiques in burled elm with marble tops. The warm tones of putty, pumpkin, olive, and gold are carried into the spacious marble bathroom complete with double sinks, whirlpool, and a separate shower stall. One overlooks the "world" from this private whirlpool. Shadow boxes flanking the fireplace contain antique purses from the turn of the century. TV/VCR.
