Welcome to Crystal River Inn,
a romantic 1883 Victorian inn and garden complex.

The Inn is a collection
of several historically significant buildings centered around a rose garden. The
beautiful columned Main House was San Marcos' first Victorian structure, built
in 1883. The Young Building, built in 1885 as the town's first apartment
building, is across the street from the Main House. Business travelers love the
privacy and autonomy of this second-story collection of rooms, each with phones,
TV's, and private baths; the Main House and the Rock House are both wireless
"hot spots" for your business convenience. The Rock House is our most newly
redone building, a single-story rock bungalow built in the 1930's; it contains
two elegant suites as well as two individual rooms. A fourth historic building
on the complex houses two fully-furnished long-term stay apartments.

THE BANDERA RIVERSIDE
HIDEAWAY
$125 per day, or $350 per
weekend, or $500 per holiday weekend, or $700 per week plus 12% hotel tax
Mike and Cathy's favorite place
in the world is their private river house, about 2 hours away from San Marcos.
Available for those desiring total peace and country seclusion,
the river house is a 1930's rustic
rock lodge with an attached guest apartment. With three bedrooms and a 4-bed
sleeping porch, the house can handle as many as 10, although because of its
unique floorplan, it's equally appropriate for just a single couple. It is
perfect for family getaways and vacation weeks, or for several friends just
getting "out of town" for the weekend. The house is on three acres of land about
5 miles from town, on a hill above the clear and sparkling Medina River, with
winding stone steps down to the water. Tubing, canoeing, swimming, hiking, and
'just being lazy' are the property's chief attractions. It has fireplaces in
both kitchen and living room, a long stone patio overlooking the river, outdoor
barbecue pit, swingset and sandbox, and a magnificent view. Nearby Bandera is
pure Texas fun with its cowboy dance halls, rodeos, horses, hunting, and
hayrides. Our house is within forty-five minutes of Lost Maples State Park,
Fiesta Texas, Seaworld, Fredericksburg, Kerrville, and San Antonio. Please note,
Bed and Breakfast services are not available at the river house--it is a
lodge-type rental where everything from bedmaking to cooking duties are up to
the renters. Guests with lots of time to spend in the Hill Country often enjoy
the experience of both the Crystal River Inn and the Riverside Hideaway--ask us
for a package quote re including both in your itinerary.
* San Marcos, Nueces, Comal/Concho all open onto common
sitting area with mini-kitchen, TV, and phone.
