The Brass Lantern Inn is located on the edge of Stowe Village. Exquisite cuisine, glorious shopping and outdoor recreation are just a short walk or drive from our doorstep. Although known throughout the world as the Ski Capital of the East, Stowe is really the perfect year-round vacation spot. In addition to being the quintessential New England town oozing history around every corner, it is also an outdoor lovers’ paradise. The majestic Green Mountains are just moments away offering every outdoor activity imaginable from in-line skating to fly fishing. There’s something for everyone whether you like to hike, bike, golf, ski, skate, explore the countryside, poke around in antique shops, watch a play, listen to an outdoor concert or sample some local painting and sculpture.

The inn has nine charming and well appointed non-smoking guest rooms.
Other Accommodations:
"Lilla Stugan" Mt. Cottage ~ An intimate and romantic mountain cottage
The mountain cottage has a private wooded setting. There is a babbling mountain stream that flows literally less than 50 feet from the front door. The cross country skiing, mountain biking, hiking and walking trails abut this cottage are almost endless. The cottage can accommodate 1 to 6 people.

Restored by Innkeeper Andy Aldrich and his son, Dustin, the Inn’s wide planked floors, exposed beams, stenciled walls and antique furnishings provide character while features like full or queen size beds, private baths and air conditioning ensure a comfortable stay.

Recently named a Country Inn of Distinction and recipient of the Golden Fork Award by the Gourmet Diner’s Society of North America, the country breakfast at The Brass Lantern is always a treat. Everything served is prepared fresh daily -- including the breads and desserts -- using only Vermont seal of quality products and produce. Each afternoon and into the evening enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and home baked goodies by a crackling fire in our living room or out on the patio as the sun slips behind Mt. Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak.

The Inn is happy to provide you with a choice of activity packages or a map or two to get you started. Ski ("..one of ski country’s most intimate inns.." Ski Magazine), golf, romance, historic and outdoor adventure are just a few of the packages available. The Inn offers a few special touches to make your stay more pleasant. An additional guest bathroom and shower is available so guests who are checking out can enjoy their last day’s activities and return home refreshed.

Dustin’s Gift Shop features a full line of Stowe, Brass Lantern and Vermont gift items including clothing, maple syrup, maps, puzzles, books and postcards.
