One
of Washington State's oldest inns, serving guests since 1912.

Alexander's
Country Inn, Restaurant & Day Spa at Mt
Rainier was built in 1892 as a
family home. In 1899, when Mount Rainier was designated a national park,
Mesler's son, Alexander, Jr. saw a potential business with the influx of
travelers and developed a plan for a comfortable road house where visitors could
stay overnight.
The 10,000-square foot inn was built
using lumber milled at the family lumber mill nearby. Once completed, Alexander
began his career as an innkeeper, catering to overnight guests. Meals were
served in the upstairs dining room where guests enjoyed homegrown vegetables and
blackberry pie. Today Alexander is still known for its fresh rainbow trout,
homemade bread and, of course, blackberry pie. Alexander's Restaurant promises
quality food in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. Reservations are not necessary.
During the summer Alexander's Restaurant
serves breakfast, lunch and dinner 7-days a week. The public are welcome and
reservations may be made by calling 360-569-2300. Our Hotel Breakfast is
complimentary for Alexander's overnight guests, $9.25 for restaurant patrons.
Several Dinner Specials offered daily.
Alexander's is a small (12 unit)
moderately priced hotel where guests enjoy attentive professional service.
Complimentary breakfast is served in the restaurant and in the evening guests
can relax in the parlor with a glass of wine and fresh seasonal fruits.

inn. Three bedrooms each (sleeps up to 8 each), full b-fast included, fully
