The interior is decorated in a graceful mix of contemporary and traditional styles.  Choice antiques are side by side with new silk or tapestry upholstered settees, beveled windows are draped with chintz swags and lace curtains, refinished hardwood floors provide a visual foil to rich Persian rugs.  The walls are adorned with original art by Northwest artists.

Hill House features an exceptional two-course gourmet breakfast, prepared to order and served on china and crystal. Delicious coffee, juice, and homemade jams accompany the entrees which may include:  smoked salmon omelettes or oatmeal pancakes preceded by fruit in a cinnamon-zinfandel sauce or a baked pear. 

Hill House offers seven tastefully appointed rooms furnished with antiques with an emphasis on cleanliness. Each room features a queen bed with down comforter and pressed cotton sheets, handmade soaps, terry robes, and fresh flowers.  Most rooms offer TV's, private phone lines, and answering machines.  Relax in the quiet living room or on the backyard deck next to the weeping willow.

Hill House is located at 1113 East John St. on historic Capitol Hill, two and a half blocks from over 200 shops and restaurants on Broadway and just a 15 - 20 minute walk to downtown Seattle.

This turn of the century neighborhood offers relaxing walks down tree lined streets and features a large park with a museum and conservatory, as well as an old water tower which offers a great view of the city at the top of its 108 steps.  Several smaller parks offer lovely views.

Hill House is 3/4 mile from the Convention Center and downtown Seattle and on a direct bus route to Pike Place Market and the University of WA. (Ten minutes either way on the #43 and #7 bus).

We are a twenty minute drive from the Sea Tac International Airport. Available modes of transportation include car rentals, taxis, city bus to Downtown Seattle, town car pickup, and the door-to-door super shuttle service.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations are subject to a flat $35.00 handling fee.  Cancellations made within seven days prior to the arrival date may be subject to an additional one night's charge.

Directions:
Exit 166 off I-5 in either direction.  From northbound, follow Olive Way which turns into E. John St., 2 1/2 blocks past Broadway.  From southbound, turn left onto Denny Way, and turn onto Olive after 3 lights.  Follow Olive as becomes E. John, 2 1/2 blocks past Broadway.  We have plenty of parking in the rear.
