Oaklawn is furnished with found treasures and family heirlooms. Large comfortable rooms with private baths, and complimentary refreshments. Air conditioning and phone lines in each room. We offer access to fax or copier, and overnight storage for bicycles or motorcycles.

Wake up on your schedule. A breakfast of fruit, juice, coffee, teas, breads and "fresh from the oven" baked goods or other tasty entrée will be ready for you in the dining room. We will do our best to accommodate special dietary requests.

Take a walk around the pond, see the wildflowers and listen to the many birds. Your hosts have lived in the area for over 25 years and can answer questions and provide suggestions for a great escape. We can arrange for trail passes, theater tickets, in room massage, flowers, gourmet chocolates, cakes etc. for that special occasion.

In the late 1890s Menomonie had the largest lumbermill in the world. Its history is still here. Tour or come for a live performance at the exquisite Mabel Tainter Memorial Theatre or tour the Wilson Place Mansion. Bike or walk the Red Cedar Trail, or arrange to canoe and bike. Visit area art galleries and restaurants via beautiful backroad drives. A short drive to tour Leinenkugel's brewery or explore other bike trails.

If you want a special place for that special event, our warm Victorian home with comfortable casual seating areas, places for quiet conversation, formal dining room and parlor are just what you are looking for.
